Bullys
Harry Duggan is just like the other boys in his school. At 13 years old,
he is shy, plays guitar, gets average grades, and lives with his mum and dad. Little did Harry know, his parents were hiding a very dark secret. The day he was born marked the death of a killer, Grant Allen.
As Harry starts getting black outs, his parents keep quiet about the reality behind them. His parents' fears had come true. Harry was the reincarnation of the terrifying Grant Allen.
Determined not to let Harry in on the secret, his parents take every step possible to keep him in the dark. Harry is worried about his blackouts, but is reassured by his parents that its normal for a boy his age, and he has nothing to worry about apart from the inconvenience of the blackouts themselves. Little did he know, they were not normal.
They were not normal at all.
Internally beaten down and fed up of being bullied, a pattern of Harry's victims became clear. Harry's inner-killer seeks out those who harm him, and will stop at nothing to make sure they will never have the chance to wrong him again. Though the actions of Harry/Grant are evil and sadistic, Grant grows attatched to the boy he is trying to protect. The violence worsens with their connection, yet Harry is still oblivious to any goings on whilst he is in his blacked out state.
As his blackouts progress from beating to killing, more and more evidence is being left around. His parents now face the decision of letting Harry in on the secret, or 'cleaning up' after their precious little boy.
Would be be able to handle the horrifying truth? Would he be able to controll his actions if he was aware of them? Maybe... or maybe not. Would they take the risk? Or would their attitudes and snappy reactions force Harry to make them his next victims?
Harry suspects strange happenings in his small town, and naturally, wants to know why heis being treated differently by his mum and dad.
After a particularly difficult day at school, Harry's stress levels were at his peak.
Tonight would be one of those nights, his parents were sure of it.
To make sure he would be asleep when the blackout occurred, his parents insisted on an early night. Stressed and tired, Harry puts up no fight and falls asleep listening to his iPod. Grant posesses his sleeping body, and seeks out the 15 year old boy who hadmade his life hell the previous day.
Tied up and dragged back to the Duggan house, the boy is terrified, fearing for his life.
He never left the house.
Harry's terrified parents stayed well out of sight, fearful that Harry would turn on them and make them his next victims. Feeling helpless and awful, they watched their son murder a young boy, then sleepily walk back to bed where he fell back to sleep.
Awoken by the noise of clutter and running water, Harry wearily walks to the top of the stairs to find his parents clearing away the reminence of a bloody corpse.
Terrified and confused, he assumes his parents are the cause of the mysterious
disappearances.
Desperate to know if he was the son of a pair of killers, he plans to take a video camera out at night to catch anything he could. He needed to see it for himself.
Armed with a video camera and fearful expectations, Harry ventured out to catch what he expected to be his parents mindlessly killing the people who had brought harm to their son.
Overprotective was an understatement.
Harry takes the camera out of his room, as the audience gets the camera's point of view.
He goes down the stairs, into the living room, and out into the hallway, ready to go into the street. As he walks down the hall, he gets unstable on his feet, and passes out on the floor. The stress had caused him to black out, and whilst doing so, drops the camera to the floor, still recording. The camera goes still, then catches Harry standing up like a creature and walking out of the front door. Every part of Harry was now taken over by Grant, and he was ready to get revenge.
Hearing the noises downstairs, his parents go to see if he was okay, unknowing who they would find.
Shouting him and grabbing him, Harry's parents are desperate to know the state of their son.
But the aggrivation proved too much for the sensitive mind of Grant Allen. He lunges for Harry's parents, breaking both of their necks and leaving them to drop to the floor.
Harry/Grant then walks out of the door, and the camera goes dead. All the audience sees is up to the characters waists, as the camera is still on the floor.
Harry never comes back, and we are left wondering... what will he do next?

First Taste Of Film!
My A2 Media Studies course has begun with an introduction to film and the film industry. We have watched a film and seen work from previous A2 pupils which has given us an insight to what to expect this year.
For our first task of the year, we have been given a sheet including several different shots and angles included in film. We were put into small groups of 5-6 and asked to do as many of the shots we could, with and without using a tripod.
We have now done movements, angles and camera technique. To do this we used a clapper board to direct the shots, along with a designated person (which varied from shot to shot) who instruced and directed the subject in the film.
